== Description ==

Dark Mode by GracePress provides a complete control panel for configuring dark mode on the public site and in WordPress administration.

Features include:

* Device-theme, scheduled, light, or dark first-visit behavior.
* Five transition treatments: fade, horizontal wipe, vertical wipe, iris, and zoom.
* Brightness, contrast, and media controls.
* Five toggle styles with three sizes and four floating positions.
* Floating, menu, shortcode, administrator-bar, and keyboard controls.
* Independent public-site and WordPress administration enablement.
* Page and selector exclusions for compatibility.
* Custom dark-mode CSS overrides.
* Compatibility corrections for images, videos, fullscreen playback, and common WordPress media surfaces.

The plugin does not collect telemetry and does not depend on a remote service. If GracePress Central Hub or OmniLog is installed, Dark Mode can integrate with those local plugins; neither is required.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the plugin directory to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install the ZIP through Plugins > Add New.
2. Activate Dark Mode by GracePress.
3. Open Settings > Dark Mode.
4. Configure the public-site and administrator behavior, then save.

Use `[gracepress_dark_toggle]` to place a toggle in content. The optional `style` attribute accepts `classic`, `minimal`, `bulbs`, `text`, or `switch`.

Yes. Choose Follow device theme as the first-visit behavior.

Yes. Administrator dark mode can be enabled independently, with a toolbar toggle available to signed-in users.

No. This public plugin contains no telemetry or private update connection.

= Does it require another GracePress plugin? =

No. Dark Mode works independently. It can use local GracePress Central Hub routing and OmniLog events when those plugins are already installed and active.
