## 4.8.18 public-track development - 2026-08-23

- Established the dedicated public source repository at https://git.christit.com/gracepress/dark-mode-by-gracepress and added the canonical public plugin page to the plugin metadata.
|
|
- Prepared the established GracePress Dark Mode engine for WordPress.org distribution without removing any Dark Mode control, option, or runtime behavior.
|
|
- Preserved optional local OmniLog event hooks and conditional GracePress Central Hub routing.
|
|
- Removed the anonymous ecosystem ping system and private ChristIT update engine from the public track.
|
|
- Compacted and reorganized the existing four-part settings interface while retaining every field and function.
